Update: I have another post that shows the count of ms office version with architecture type 32 or 64 for specific collection on http://eskonr.com/2017/11/configmgr-report-for-count-of-ms-office-versions-with-architecture-type-32bit-and-64bit/
I wrote a blog post year ago on how to get count of MS Office Editions with versions installed across my environment using SCCM Configmgr. This report consists of 2 reports .1st report is ,to get count of Microsoft Editions for ex: how many are office 2003, 2007 ,2010 and 2013 and 2nd report is actually drilled report linked to 1st report to give list of all MS Office editions (what are the editions of office 2003 ,2007,2010 and 2013) with its client count .
Many of my blog viewers have requested through comments and some of them are via social networking sites ,that they want drill down the 2nd report to see the list of clients with each office edition and version.
Having drilled report to see the list of clients will certainly help to investigate and upgrade them to latest version of Microsoft office.
You can always create collection for office editions but having a report like this would help to export them to excel and other SSRS supported formats.
This request is pending from very long ,it was lying in my to-do list and finally going out through this blog post.
So what all you need to get this report (Count of MS office editions ) implemented in your SCCM site ?
Download the 3 reports from the TechNet Gallery ,upload the reports into your SSRS folder (make sure they all in same folder),change the data source for each report and you are good to run.
Note: This report will list only Microsoft Office 2003,2007,2010 and 2013 but not office 365. If you need office 365, you may have to wait for next update ,otherwise you can edit the RDL file and customize it.
How does the report look like ?
1. Count of MS Office editions
2. List MS Office editions for selected version (ex: 2003)
3. List of Clients by specific MS Office edition and version
Hope it helps.

Hi Phil,

Were you able to update your report with Office 2016?
Hi Jermoe,
for office 2016 ,you can replace office 2013 version with 2016 in the existing report. You can simply edit the RDL ,append 2016 ,run the report.
I will try to update the report to include office 2016 and office 365 when time permits.

Eswar
Not exactly sure how to edit the Report for Office 2016. 🙁

Thank you!
I am working on it ,hopefully ,will have this report by this week (in few days) . Watch out for this space.

Hi Eswar,
Thanks for your update on Office 2016.
But there is one thing that is not working:
In the "Count of MS Office Editions with Versions" all numbers of versions are shown, but there is no hyperlink for the number of Office 2016 to see further details.
Do you think, you can fix it?
Thank you!
Hi Sam,
Sorry for the delay. I just updated the link for office 2016 .Please give a try.
Regards,
Eswar
There is a mistake in the "Count of MS Office Versions.rdl", that doesn't make it possible to drill down the 2016 Versions.
Just add this below Line 531:
List MS office Versions
2016
I need to edit the report and link it correctly for drill down report. I will do it tonight.
Regards,
Eswar
Yeah.. I was looking for 2016 and 0365 too. Great Report! Thanks again!
office 2016 updated but not O365 as i do not have O365 in my environment to create report.

Hi Eswar, If you have the time, could you include Office 2016? Would it also be possible to include visio and project?
sure ,i will try to add office 2016 and visio as they are installed on my laptop which i can use to update in report but if you have other versions ,you may have to edit the report and update all other 2016 versions.
Thanks,
Eswar
Hi Eswar ..does this report do both 32 and 64 bit of MS Office Version
this is an awesome report ..
Hi,
It include both 32bit and 64bit.
Regards,
Eswar
Hi Eswar ..this is a awesome report .. I have been using the older one that you did
I just have one question ..does this report pick up both 32 and 64 bit of MS Office
Is it possible to distinguish if the installed office is 32 bit or 64 bit?
You can identify based on the product code (may not be 100% correct) or go with AI data (information stored in v_gs_installed_software using the installed directory)

Eswar
Dear Sir,
I am new to SCCM 2012. Can you please guide me as to how I should import this report?

I know you just updated this report and thanks!
I am trying to add the 32 or 64 bit version to this report starting from Count and drill down to the 2 list reports. I want to use the ProdID where the %-%-%-1000-% for 64bit and %-%-%-0000-% for 32 bit as the identifier. Is this do-able? To the 2nd Report (List MS Office Versions) I added the following:
CASE arp.ProdID00
WHEN '{90150000-0011-0000-0000-0000000FF1CE}' THEN '32Bit'
WHEN '{90150000-0011-0000-1000-0000000FF1CE}' THEN '64Bit'
END BitType,
It does mark 32Bit in the field, but it does not mark 64Bit and just shows almost duplicate numbers.
Office Edition Office Version BitType Total
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 15.0.4420.1017 32Bit 792
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 15.0.4420.1017 789
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 15.0.4569.1506 32Bit 7996
Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 15.0.4569.1506 7998
To the List Client report I added the ProdID00 field and it is showing 2 values, the actual Product ID (numerical) and also another value (alpha) Office15.PROPLUS.
Am I on the right track, or wasting my time trying to use arp.ProdID00 or other means to get 32/64bit?
Thanks
LisaM
How would you add the ability to choose a collection to run this against?
you will need to edit the main report and linked reports and customize it. Time involved init for me to update the report. I will check and update the report .
Thanks,
Eswar
Yes ability to have by collection would be very beneficial.
collection ,you can only create one per office version and if so ,you can use installed installed instance to create collection for each office version.
I will look at and post query for how to create collection for office 2010 or 2013 so you can take it forward.
Regards,
Eswar
Thank you very much! This is great work!
Brilliant, thank you.
Welcome AL.
